Pros: Clean restaurant, the steamed lobster or king crag legs with wild rice and broccoli tasted good but the size portion was a little bit small for the lobster, the rest of the offering is average, it's easy to park, the service is good, etc. Cons: The pasta dishes were drenched in a creamy unhealthy sauces with not enough seafood. The desserts were on average too sugary. One apple dessert was good.

The only reason that I stopped here is that I got a gift card for Christmas (it is now August I have been to different Red Lobsters in the past, so I wasn't expecting much. It was "Crabfest" and I had a meal off the "Crabfest" menu. It came with snow crab legs, king crab legs, and crab alfredo. Generally crab alfredo is the only thing I can stand here since the alfredo sauce does a good job of covering up the poor quality of crab meat used. The snow crab legs were too dry and the king crab legs were too wet. I can honestly say that these were the poorest excuse for king crab legs that I have ever had (unfortunately, I have had worse snow crab legs). King crab legs usually have a very good taste, but these tasted bland. So the gift card has now been used up. Please don't anyone get me another Red Lobster gift card for this coming Christmas.

We had a great waiter but the food was just not very good. My girlfriends lobster was over cooked . The food is way over priced it's a shame this is what most people consider good seafood... I'll stay away from now on.

I used to be a big fan of Red Lobster but over the years they changed the menu and took away a few items we were big fans of. We still go once in a while when the kids want to go. Last night we were celebrating our son's 31st birthday and he wanted to dine here. We started out with the seafood artichoke dip, not bad...For the main course I chose the shrimp trio (your choice of 3 different shrimp dishes). It was good...The wife chose the ultimate feast, she enjoyed it....The rolls were still amazing but I'm still upset they don't offer poppy-seed dressing for your salad any longer...Would still go back but I'd rather have a big ole steak!!

Our waiter Tom was the best, very attentive and courteous. Dinner was fabulous and Tom even gave us some extra biscuits to take home. Very satisfied customer here.

I've been here many times and I've never had a problem. Cozy environment, friendly staff, good food. The crab/shrimp linguini alfredo is my favorite. And who doesn't love the cheddar bay biscuits?!

Horrible experience minus our waiter. I want to give kudos to our waiter first. He was friendly & attentive. As for the food, shameful. I ordered lobster tail, shrimp, & crab legs. The lobster & crab were both terribly overcooked. I make it at home & know that when you over cook shellfish it sticks to the shell & then becomes rubbery. UGH! Disgusting! My husband ordered a mostly fried variety platter. He was hoping for a better fish, such as cod, but they don't serve that. Otherwise his fried food was ok. I do however miss the Lobster Fondue. They stopped making that a few years ago & I used to order it everytime. For what we paid I'd rather stay home & cook it myself or find a better seafood restaurant.

I'm not akin to chain restaurants such as Chili's, TGI Fridays, Olive Garden, Bennigan's etc., but I have to say as of lately Red Lobster hasn't disappointed. They really have improved the quality of their food in the last five years or so, as I remember their food being sub par at best. Whenever I'm in the area to do a little shopping at the outlet mall in Michigan City, I make sure to stop at Red Lobster for some delicious seafood. I've been a customer for a couple of years now and I've honestly never had a bad meal here. I'm from Chicago and the closest Red Lobster to me is in Schaumburg, but for some reason I prefer the location in Michigan City. The staff is friendlier, the food is better and the overall atmosphere is more pleasant. The only disappointment I had last night is when I was told I was one week too late for their shrimp fest. With that being said, I decided to go with the broiled seafood trio, which included garlic shrimp scampi, fresh tilapia and crab-and-seafood-stuffed shrimp. The entree came with a side and salad. Everything was delicious. The fish and shrimp had a perfect texture with a nice balance of seasoning. My mom had steamed clams as a meal and they were outstanding. My dad had the rainbow trout which too was delicious. Our server, Jamie, couldn't have been more pleasant. She was outgoing, friendly and very efficient. John the manager came by to ask us how our meal was. He too was very friendly. I can't wait to return.

I love this Red Lobster! I grew up with this one. The managers are great. The staff is friendly. The food is great. I always leave here full and happy. They will do custom meals if requested.

Why must smoking be allowed anywhere indoors if it's not in an enclosed room?! Really what's the point of Non-Smoking rooms when the indoor window decor to separate the room is kept open along with door free entrance? Really I can still see and smell the smoke. There's always a wait at any Red Lobster in a main city and knowing that they get overly busy, you would think they would have a separate waiting room or just more seating so people aren't blocking the entrance or waiting outside in freezing cold/or scorching hot temperatures #justsaying. The food was good my server could of been less lazy and more pleasant. You win some you lose some.

As long as I can remember, this red lobster has always been fantastic. Honestly, though, I've never ever had bad service or bad food at one. I do, however, kind of consider it my secret shame considering the fact that I'm in the catering business and hang out with chefs all the time. I go to a lot of snootie foodie places, but sometimes I just need to get my red lobster on. Sometimes, you just need a cheddar bay biscuit. This location was always the go-to place growing up when my mom and I had a night to ourselves and my dad was working late. I absolutely love the crab alfredo, shrimp alfredo, the coconut shrimp with pina colada sauce, and the stuffed flounder. They're all good and the ceasar salads are always a winner. So this place is no Oceanaire Seafood Room and it's not Bonefish Grill. Either way, I love it and always will. Oh yeah, and our waiter the last time I recognized because I remember having him when I dined here as a kid. He's been there a whopping 15 years! I mean really, if the place was awful, do you really think a great waiter would stay there that long? Drinks are always good too.

It is a consistent Red sLobster. The lobster bisque I got once was super greasy, just like in Downers Grove, IL or up here in Minneapolis. Must be the recipe. But the Cheddar Gay biscuits are always good and the fish is good. It's a solid 3 stars on Yelp, thus the "A-OK".

Great food for Red Lobster. Service not that good, drinks were late, appetizers came with meal salads, meal immediately followed. Server was complaining about work load. Jeez......all I wanted was to relax and unwind. Had to hear server complain. Otherwise ok.

Well if you have eaten food at one Red Lobster, than you have eaten food at all Red Lobsters! There is no variation at all. The cheddar biscuits are still the best ever. The food here was solid. We had a group of about 22 come here on a Sunday afternoon. I was truly expecting complete chaos and mayhem with a less than stellar performance. Much to my surprise, even with our massive group, the place was not even filled to capacity. That was a pleasant surprise right there. Once our party completely arrived, they sat us right away. What really impressed me about this place was they way they handled our group. They had two servers taking care of us and they took excellent care of us. We we all taken care of promptly and not ignored for a moment. We all received our food pretty much together and they took very good care of us!

Consistent as Red Lobsters go. Some of the better service in Michigan City.

Seafood is good. Endless Shrimp is a good deal considering the world's shrimp populations are severely decreasing. This is the same as any other red lobster.

I want to start this review by stating that I have been going to this particular Red Lobster with my in-laws for about 8 years. Our experience there is usually wonderful, but after this last visit - NEVER AGAIN. My inlaws are both 82 years old. They LOVE Red Lobster. We arrived on Saturday during the busy dinner hour. No big deal, we are prepared to wait & the child behind the podium hands us one of those electronic devices that notifies us when our table is ready. We are told around 30 to 45 minutes - we find a seat for the inlaws. One hour later, the inlaws are wondering if this device is working, so my husband takes it up to the front & states his concerns. Child tells him that they paged us awhile ago & he tells her that the device never went off. She tries it - it doesn't work, so he is told we get the next table. In the meantime, people that came in after us are being seated & my father-in-law is starting to talk very loudly. Ok, so they finally take us to a BOOTH that is too small to seat the 4 of us. I will be honest, I am a rather large lady & need room. This was EXTREMELY EMBARASSING! I tell the child that this is not acceptable & we all march back up to the front. She proceeds to tell her fellow child co-workers & they all laugh at the fact that I do not fit into the booth. At this point, I ask for the manager, who comes up, mumbles an apology & has his child workers offer us WATER while we wait for a table. So, their device fails, they seat us at an unacceptable table, the staff makes fun of me & we are offered WATER???????? My inlaws wanted to stay, so we did. Waiter was good, food was good & we are charged the FULL AMOUNT for our dinner. A break on the beverages would have been nice, along with an APLOGY for insulting me. And by the way, Indiana has alot of individuals who are overweight & the children kept seating these people at the undersized booths. We could all see that they were too embarassed to say anything & were extremely uncomfortable sitting there. This Red Lobster needs to send all of there employees to some sensitivity training, or at the very least, customer service training. We will NEVER go there again!
